Facebook Now Allows You To Embed Public Posts

Share
In an effort to increase post interactions, Facebook has announced the launch of a new feature. Facebook, will now start allowing people to share posts that are set to “public”, in an embedded form. Following the likes of YouTube and Twitter, a person can now link, share and embed posts onto any webpage by simple copy pasting an HTML code. This just like how you would embed a tweet or a YouTube video. There had been many waiting for this opportunity and Facebook post embed answers them well.

Analyst conclude that this is a direct move by Facebook to bring the Social networking site into the public. This would essentially boos interaction with the help of blogs and websites that will very soon be able to embed such posts. This feature can only be used in the posts with privacy settings set to “public”.
DID YOU KNOW: A whooping 72% people on Facebook share posts privately!

How will it benefit Facebook?

  1. Exposure: This particular feature will help the social networking giant to further increase its strong hold over the internet. The more that people share and link, the more exposure Facebook gets.
  2. Interaction: There are many occasions where we miss out on posts or announcements on a page that you have liked. This not only is a loss for the brand managers on Facebook but also for Facebook itself. The introduction of embedded posts give it even more exposure, thus increasing interactions like liking and sharing.
  3. Bring in the moolah with ADs: Advertisers go where they get exposure. Advertisers looking to reach people during live events, like the Super Bowl or the Oscars will find this very useful to build on their fan base.
It should be noted that this is not Facebook’s first attempt to get posts and people closer together. Recently they launched clickable Hashtags with a similar intent. It surely will be an interesting feature to bring in. Most brand and page managers will be welcoming this with wide outstretched arms.
