Milan have already set their eyes on Daniele Baselli of Atalanta

Andrea Bertolacci is a target of Milan but Fiorentina are also interested. Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and probably Nigel De Jong and Marco Van Ginkel are all expected to leave Milan at the end of the season, which means that the Rossoneri will have to be on the market looking to sign midfielders. Milan have already set their eyes on Daniele Baselli of Atalanta but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Diavolo have cooled off their interest a bit and have found a new target in Andrea Bertolacci who plays for Genoa. The pink newspaper writes today that Adriano Galliani, who enjoyed Easter at Forte dei Marmi, spoke to his friend and Genoa President Enrico Preziosi over the weekend about the 24-year-old midfielder. Milan and Genoa have a very good club relationship and the last two deals they made involved M’Baye Niang (Genoa want to renew the loan and perhaps add a buy-out option) and Luca Antonelli (who Milan are obligated to buy at the end of the season for €4 million in 2 installments). Fiorentina have also spoken to Genoa over Bertolacci as boss Vincenzo Montella, who is linked with the Milan job for next season to replace Inzaghi, values the midfielder. First, however, Genoa have to sort out the future of Bertolacci with Roma as they both own 50% per cent the Italy international. Talks between Galliani and Preziosi are likely to continue in the future over Andrea who’s played 113 times in Serie A, although at the moment the priority is to figure out the future of the whole club.
